Martin has degrees in mechanical engineering and computer science from Université Laval. During the following years, he continued to improve his knowledge through multiples courses in Project Management, Six Sigma, electric and autonomous vehicles, logistic, quality, simulation and computer modelling.

During his professional years, Martin Roy worked as an in-house patent manager over ten years with different companies before getting in an intellectual property firm. Since 2015, Martin takes part in the team of Benoît & Côté as a technical consultant.
